 Message of the President Olga Surdu
Dear FEMTEC members, colleagues, and friends,
For me, FEMTEC is like a Roman Forum where all what is connected to thermal station and balneal/thermal medicine can be discussed freely: whether it is legal issues, whether it is economic aspects, whether it is education, whether it be it new scientific horizons or ancient traditions, whatever.
Consensus and cooperation were the spirit of FEMTEC. At least, that`s how I see FEMTEC from Romania.
I will maintain this spirit of cooperation and free dialog with national and international actors in the field of balneal medicine, tourism, wellness, be they private or state representatives. United we can continue to grow.
I will work to keep FEMTEC's leadership position in the thermal world. I will strengthen the cooperation with World Health Organisation in the field of traditional, complementary and integrative medicine. It is important to integrate FEMTEC in the World Rehabilitation Alliance initiative and to promote the values and virtues of balneotherapy in rehabilitation. Wellness is a new topic in which World Health Organisation is interested and it is important to connect FEMTEC with it.
I will continue to support and promote national associations and societies internationally. By knowing each other and sharing our thoughts, we can progress.
I will work with you, for you, to optimise the statute provision so that the future election for a new President are conducted in harmony and unity. Correctness and courtesy are the measure of respect for others.
Upgrading statute to the current conditions is a purpose that presupposes the collection of members' proposal, to complete the current statute with new proposal and to draft new statute.
The new draft will have to be submitted to the General Assembly for approval. After the statute has been approved by the General Assembly, it must be registered by a notary. After this moment the statute becomes legal and produces effects in the activity of the Federation.
I wait all of you to work together.
