6th UIA Associations Round Table Asia-Pacific Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - 26-27 September 2018
UIA (Union of International Associations) is a research institute founded in 1907 to promote and document the work of international associations. Its primary task is the collection and dissemination of information on international associations, fulfilled largely by its two main publications: the Yearbook of International Organizations, and the International Congress Calendar.
The UIA also promotes the work of international associations by organizing educational activities, such as the Round Table. It is the only activity for which UIA charges a - nominal - fee.
For over 100 years the UIA has been working to promote and document the work of international associations.
Round Table Programme: Presentations by peers working in international associations on common challenges, with small group discussions to ask in-depth questions and to share and exchange knowledge and experience. Who is invited? People working in and with (international) associations. We expect about 100 participants.
An overview of the programme is below. For full details, please see the Round Table website (roundtable.uia.org). Registration fee: 60 US dollars.
Thanks to the support of our hosts, the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau, we are able to offer a high-level educational programme for a low fee. All other elements of the programme are complimentary. Delegates are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and expenses.
