"Health Resort Treatment"
Event held on May 30, 2024 in person and online
National Medical Research Center for Rehabilitation and Balneology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation with National Association of Experts in Spa Treatment, National Resort Association, Association of Resort and Tourist cities held the X International Congress "Health Resort Treatment" within the framework of International Exhibition/Forum "Russia".
More than 800 people from more than 70 regions of the Russian Federation attended the Congress: representatives of public authorities in the field of healthcare, chief external experts in health resort treatment, representatives of major research institutes and health resorts organizations, representatives of the tourism industry, medical professionals, researchers from Russia and other countries. Participants online where connected from Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, the Belarus, France, USA, Italy, Bulgaria, Cuba.
The scientific program was devoted to topical issues of the sustainable development of the sanatorium-resort complex, scientific and practical issues of health resort treatment and medical rehabilitation including the international practices, with reports from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Italy, Cuba, Bulgaria.
Within the framework of the Congress, 12 sections were held with scientific and practical reports and master classes, including an International session "Achievements and Trends in the Development of Health Resort Treatment: International Practices". The section was opened by the report "Domestic and Foreign Practices in Organizing Health Resort Treatment" by the Acting Director of the National Medical Research Center for Rehabilitation and Balneology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, President of the National Association of Experts in Sanatorium Treatment Anatoliy D. Fesyun.
FEMTEC representatives presented several reports.
Maria Chiara Maccarone, Secretary of Section 12 of the Italian Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, presented the report "Rehabilitation in Long COVID Syndrome: the Experience of the University of Padua" on behalf of Prof. Stefano Masiero, Head of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation at the University of Padua, Coordinator of Section No. 12 of the Italian Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Chairman of the FEMTEC Sub-Commission on Physical Rehabilitation and Sport (Italy).
Prof. Fausto Bonsignori, President of the Italian Medical Association of Thermal Spa Medicine, spoke on "The Italian Spa Thermalism and Health Resort System: between Tradition and Innovation" and Professor Florana Menendez, Vice-President of FEMTEC, Coordinator of the International Department of Health and Tourism at the University of Havana, General Director of the international conference and event organization Sol&Me (Cuba) presented "Thermal Centers and New Prospects for the Development of Balneology in Cuba".
Zokhid A. Abdurakhimov, Deputy Head of the Sanatorium and Resort Department of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, personally presented "Implementation of the Scoring System Methodology for Evaluating Health Resort Organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Determine the Rating”.
