Between May 23rd and 25th the 47th World Congress of International Society of Medical Hydrology was held in Romania, which turned 125 years of unceasing balneal medicine.

FEMTEC, the World Federation of Hydrotherapy and Climatology, was represented by the President, Olga Surdu, the Vice-President Florana Menendez Camporedondo and many other individual members. Antonella Fioravanti, President of Scientific Committee of ISMH and President of World Organisation of Thermalisme, actively participated.
Under the logo of congress, “evidence-based balneology”, during the scientific sessions and satellite symposiums, in an atmosphere of collaborations and friendship, the paper works and discussions showed the unity and modernity of approaches of research direction between the main actors in this field of medicine.
